Dr. Christina Livada is an expert in commercial and financial law. She graduated in law from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and continued her studies at the University of Paris II (Panthéon-Assas), where she obtained a Diplôme des Etudes Approfondies (D.E.A.) in Private International Law and International Commercial Law. In 2000, she defended her PhD on “Codes of Conduct in the Financial Sector” at the University of Athens.
From 2011 to 2016, she was a Lecturer in Commercial Law, and in 2016, she was appointed Assistant Professor at the same university. She has published extensively on banking law, capital markets, consumer protection, and commercial law.
Dr. Livada is a Special Legal Advisor at the Hellenic Bank Association, focusing on banking and capital market regulations, corporate governance, and consumer protection. She is a member of legislative committees responsible for implementing European financial directives into Greek law.
The Association wishes to express the challenges that the CEE region is facing in terms of handling the initiatives conducted at the EU, regional and domestic levels in terms of development, regulation, payments, digitalization, fintech and much more.
